Isabella Violet Marie Bassett, a 23-year-old artist with dual Spanish and English nationality, grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. After studying classical arts at the Florence Academy of Art, she dedicated herself to painting. In 2024, her work has evolved into creating optical illusions by painting people head to toe, mimicking paintings. Her latest project, "My Alternate Self," explores the theme of identity. Isabella has always been fascinated by dancers, particularly women, and many of her paintings feature dancers from her family. She loves exploring the art of movement and fluidity, which is reflected in her current work.
